COVID-19 and Where We Are Now

As you will all be aware Buddies has been closed since late March due to the Coronavirus pandemic. This has been a sad time for us as it has meant we could not offer those services we love delivering to all of our families. There have been some updates since then to inform you all of.

Buddies Nursery remained open to a small amount of keyworker children who could access the environment safely throughout April to June. The holiday clubs for main services resumed in July but with smaller, safer numbers and for this Holiday Club we have had access to both sides of the Southbrae building utilizing the nursery section as well as the main services section, for children and adults respectively. Strict hygiene rules have been in place with a focus on freqent handwashing. More sanitiser dispensers have been installed in Buddies and on our bus. Full P.P.E has been available to all staff and anyone who requires the use of it during services. Social distancing is in place were possible. I'm happy to report that everything has been going along smoothly for both the children and the adults respectively and it has been a fun-filled holiday club for all so far! We can't believe it's already Week Four!

However, what's next? The hope will be that we will fully reopen in August to all services (Nursery, Afterschool, Youth Clubs, Outreach) but this will be determined by the Government guidance and advice. All families who access Buddies will be informed the moment we know more information ourselves. We hope that's going to be soon!
