Buddies Board - Change of Office Bearers

Buddies extend their most heartfelt thanks to Mrs Dorothy Barton who has chaired our Board of Trustees for the past multiple years. She has been with us since the organisation started in 1994 and dedicated her time and passion to helping us through thick and thin. We are eternally grateful to her for her service to us and even more so that she has consented to remain on the board as a trustee. Her advice and guidance will continue to be highly valued. We also would like to extend our gratitude to Mr Eric Coulter who has stepped down as treasurer. Again, his advice and guidance has been significant to us and thank him for it and also for consenting to continue to remain as a trustee. Thanks and well wishes are given to Mr Charles Paton and Miss Gillian Docherty who will be stepping in as Chair and Treasurer respectively. Best of luck to you both and we are greatly looking forward to working closely alongside you both.

We are looking to begin a project to raise funds to replace our changing bed. As you would imagine this is a very important piece of equipment that we use. If you would be willing to donate anything to us please use the link at the top of the page which will take you to our BT MyDonate page.

We held our Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 24th October. We were extremely encouraged at the turnout and thank everyone who is involved in our "little" family most sincerely because without you we wouldn't be able to do the good work we do. And most importantly for the children and young adults who are at the heart of the organisation.

Eco Committee Update

Our children, parents and staff have been making improvements to our garden area and have raised £980.00 through taking part in a sponsored litter pick which has helped us buy new resources for our graden. We have been collecting plastic bottles, which the parents have been involved with, and we have now built our very own greenhouse with these, The children took great pride in helping build this. We have also built our very own minibeast hotel which the children also assisted with.

Care Inspectorate - Children's Services

We had our Care Inspectorate Inspection for our children's services at which we achieved a grade 5. Congratulations to Julie and her team. This is a true testament to the passion and dedication of our staff. Well done!
